Starting to really get into salsa music at the age of 17, Jersey Mike began taking On2 Salsa Classes. Progressing with time, Jersey Mike decided to venture off and study with different schools to get an idea of other styles. It was when he started taking lessons with Johnny Matos at Abakua Latin Dance Company that he began to develop an ear for music. Over time, Jersey Mike built a collection of Latin music and began to listen to each song carefully to learn the different beats and instruments that were brought together to make the beautiful sound of Mambo and Cha Cha.

Specializing in Salsa, a few of Mike's favorite artists are Hector Lavoe, Ray Barretto, Celia Cruz, Sonora Mantancera, Cal Tjader, Angel Canales and many more. Today, Jersey Mike is Djing at events all over the U.S.. He shares the music he loves to dance and listen to, hoping that everyone will love to dance to the music as well.
